LOA is building port-adjacent SNG supply for marine bunkering, with first deliveries targeted for the second half of 2027. Made from clean hydrogen and biogenic CO2, the fuel carries a calculated lifecycle carbon intensity of 11.4 gCO2e/MJ, low enough to meet FuelEU Maritime and IMO targets. And it drops into LNG-fueled vessels as fuel produced onshore, not imported.

Compliance pressure is on a schedule: FuelEU Maritime tightens its greenhouse gas intensity limits step by step, and every vessel on LNG today needs a compliant molecule that works in the engines and bunkering infrastructure it already has. SNG is that molecule. It is chemically interchangeable with fossil LNG, so no retrofit, no new supply chain, and no bet on methanol or ammonia newbuilds; the compliance upgrade happens at the fuel, not the ship.
